The SitRepNet System Test (SysTest) is a practice drill to learn and find ways to improve grid-down communications. The SysTest is held the first week of even numbered months (FEB, APR, JUN, etc.), during which a F!107 Request for Information (RFI) is sent at regular intervals on 7.078.

As reports are received, they will be added to a REPS expect statement so you can confirm that your report was received. We will be removing any duplicates received, so don’t hesitate to send more than once.

To see a list of reports received, send @SITREP E? REPS -or- KN4AM E? REPS

The received reports will be added to a spreadsheet, duplicates and any problem reports will be deleted, and the results compiled into a useful summary. A list of stations responding will be included, along with a list of locations reporting.

SysTest Summary

● SysTest is held during the first 7 days of each even numbered month.
● The F!107 Request for Information will be sent throughout the week of the SysTest.
● Reply to @SITREP (and/or KN4AM) with the requested MCForm.
● SitRepNet standard frequency is 7.078
● Results will be compiled and reported on the Bulletin Distribution Net and other nets, as well as posted here on this website.

How you can be a part of this:

➊ Most importantly, respond with the requested information.
➋ Process the responses that you receive addressed to @SITREP and compile them into your own report. Share your report on FLDIGI nets where appropriate.
➌ Feel free to design and run your own System Test. It is helpful to use the same basic concept so results can be compared.

This is about “crowd sourced” intel gathering – Be part of it.

COMMENTS: The purpose of these tests is to find problems with the SitRepNet system and fix them. As a result, F!107 as been completely redesigned to make it clear how it is used (it is still fully compatible with older versions). Other forms will be modified to include a version date for all forms, as well as minor improvements to clarify instructions. Updated forms will be released as a group as soon as all are completed. Another change is frequency simplification – we will now use only one frequency – 7.078.
