Organized nets are great, and it’s important to support them, but perhaps it’s time to once again focus on individual information sharing. We now have the tools available to make it easy and efficient in ways that just weren’t possible before. Let’s take a quick look at those tools:
- JS8Call – Its ability to get the message through when nothing else will is matched only by the automation that come with it.
- JS8Spotter – Lots of great features that take full advantage of JS8Call. Two of the biggest are growing collection of report forms that carry a lot of information with just a few characters, and the “Expect System” that lets you “download” reports from other stations.
How do I let other ham radio operators know?
Here are two ways to make it known that you would like to be a part of independent information exchanges:
➊ Complete and add to your JS8Spotter Expect system, the F!105 Information Exchange Planning form, then add it to your MCF and/or CMDS Expect statement.
➋ Complete and submit the following form, which is the same basic information as the F!105 form. The results will be published on this website.
