MCForms for use with JS8Spotter are available for viewing and downloading from MCForm Repository sites. Current Repository sites are SitRepNet (this page), and KF7MIX (Developer of JS8Spotter). Having the forms publicly available satisfies the FCC Part 97.117 rule prohibiting “codes and ciphers” in addition to making them available to others.

➤ These forms only work if both the sending and receiving station have the form installed on their copy of JS8Spotter, so it is important that new custom forms be distributed as quickly as possible.

To have your custom MCForm(s) published on the Repository sites:

  • Test your form before submitting it.
  • Confirm that it meets the Guidelines for Publishing Forms.
  • Use the Contact form to upload your file.
  • Include a brief description of your form and your FCC call sign.
  • Be sure to include a valid email address
  • The form number will be assigned by the Repository, the file will be edited to include the ID number, and renamed if needed.
  • The form will then be distributed to the other Repository sites

To create your own MCForms, see the MCForms page or download the latest JS8Spotter Manual.
